description

The new Zone3 Aspect wetsuit has been developed in response to the high volume of swimmers searching for a wetsuit in which they can swim breaststroke with as well as front crawl. The large majority of wetsuits on the market are only designed for surface swimming and don’t allow for the lateral leg movement required for the breaststroke technique.

This is where the Aspect is different, utilising a mixture of high performance Aqua-X, Smoothskin and High-Stetch Nylon panels, this wetsuit is designed to allow an extended range of movement between the legs and across the chest. Aqua-X is a coating applied to the neoprene which significantly reduces drag in the water whilst also improving durability.

The wetsuit also is made from a combination of 1.5, 2 and 3mm thicknesses so the legs can stay submerged in the water and a natural breaststroke swimming position can be maintained. A combination of glued seams and flatlock seams allows the extra stretch in the key movement areas whilst also keeping the price point as affordable as possible.

Features:

Specifically designed for breaststroke swimming.
Excellent warmth, comfort and flexibility.
High-stretch inner leg panels required for breastroke leg kick.
Reduced lower leg buoyancy allows legs to stay submerged.
Mixture of SCS, Smoothskin and high-stretch nylon panels reduce drag.
Neon orange arm cuffs for visibility.
Easy to use downward YKK zipper.

Perfect for OWS in winter

I was advised by a triathlete friend to buy a wetsuit specifically designed for breaststroke. This fits the bill. Once I had mastered the art of putting it on it has proved a great buy. This allows me to be in the water longer now that the water is getting colder.

Wore this for the first time last week. Once on it was a good fit. It had sufficient flexibility to make swimming breast stroke easy. Swam for about 40 minutes at around 10 degrees water temperature.

Wetsuit advice

I bought this online to start swimming in the sea after the warm weather has left us! I’ve never had a wetsuit and to all other newbies I’d advise you to go to the shop in Newcastle ! I thought the wetsuit was too small as even with help couldn’t get it zipped up. However you need the excellent manager in the shop who instructs you how to manhandle this friable fabric up your legs and hip, over your hands and gradually your arms. It’s a tricky business and it’s very very easy to tear the fabric. Once on and in the sea it was great although a little harder to move the arms for breast stroke it kept me warm. But I do need foot coverage now!

Great wetsuit.

Looks great. Feels comfortable- really good fit. Would definitely recommend

Great product, great price, fast delivery, what more could you ask for!

Great starter wetsuit

Good fit and very comfortable.

Sizing information

Lovely wetsuit once I got one to fit me. My measurements (5'4, 10.7st) indicated a SM would fit, but 3 wetsuits later I am in an XL, which fits nicely and didn't cause an injury getting into it! Realistic sizing info would have been helpful, and could have saved me the cost of returning 2 wetsuits.

Great wetsuit but order a bigger size

This is a great wetsuit. It feels very comfortable and flexible. As promised my legs stayed under while swimming breaststroke and it kept me warm enough in the North Sea in January. The only downside is the sizing. I read the size guide carefully but the first one I got was too small and I had to return it for the next size up. I know they are meant to be tight but the first one was cutting off circulation to my hands! If you are at all uncertain about which size to order, go larger.
