This is the GEL. Energy capsulated in a natural hydrogel. Built with six ingredients – no added colorants, preservatives or flavours.
This is the GEL. It’s a bold statement. But nonetheless true. From a technical perspective, traditional gels are water and carbohydrates simply mixed into syrups, often containing added flavours and preservatives. The GEL 100 is completely different. It’s a biopolymer matrix, filled with a unique blend of fructose and glucose (ratio of 0.8:1) which enables uptakes of up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour.
The GEL 100 is built by harnessing natural hydrogel technology and built with six natural ingredients. It doesn’t contain any colorants or preservatives and comes in 40g servings. Each serving contains 60% carbohydrates – a high weight to energy ratio.

Running wisdom suggests that if you’re on the move for longer than an hour, your performance could be improved with a sports drink or gel.
Using their breakthrough hydrogel technology, Maurten have developed an energy gel that our bodies can tolerate.
It enables the smooth movement of carbohydrates through the stomach to the intestine where the carbohydrates are absorbed. Without being able to mix a drink mid-race, this is the perfect way to boost energy (25g per sachet). The GEL100 is thicker than most gels, has no flavour and is easy to tolerate.
It is well known that our bodies can make use of about 60 grams of ingested carbohydrates per hour, in the form of glucose or maltodextrin (glucose polymer). Using a 0.5:1 combination of fructose and glucose/maltodextrin, allows uptake of up to 90 grams per hour. More recent studies have shown that increased fructose content, above 0.5:1 enables an even higher uptake. The GEL 100 is based on a 0.8:1 fructose-to-glucose ratio. One serving contains 25 grams of carbohydrates.

Bike Delivery
All of the bikes we sell are physically in stock at the point of purchase but come from the manufacturer unassembled and have to be built and safety checked before shipping.
The assembly process will begin as soon as we recieve full payment on a completed order and typically takes a few days to complete.
Orders are processed and assembled by our fully qualified mechanics on first come first served basis in date order.
Once fully checked and boxed, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date when you will be at the delivery address to take delivery.
Our bikes are despatched with a premium delivery service which usually delivers next working day (excludes weekends & public holidays) for mainland UK orders.
It may take slightly longer for some areas, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and outlying Scottish areas. Please click here to see a list of postcodes which may be impacted.
International bike orders will be dispatched as soon as the bike is boxed and typically take upto a week to arrive.
