I was already happy with my Inov8 Roadflys so bought the same size Trailfly; these are identical in fit. I bought UK-8.5 which fit well, although they fit me better mid-foot with thick socks. 1cm of clearance in front of my big toe stops any problems there - my left big-toe often gets bruised in other trainers. The soles are grippy enough for trails but I haven’t used them in proper mud yet, but the Inov8 Mudtalon might be the answer there.

Perfect fit, reassuring grip on tricky terrain, and cool in hot weather. Low drop, firm sole and flexibility helps give a good feel of the trail. Excellent.

Great shoes. Really lightweight and comfortable. I would have liked a bit more padding around the ankle, but presumably that would have increased the weight. I have used them on mixed terrain routes and some very muddy trails. The grip is really good, although the mud does stick to the soles more than on my Saucony Ride 16TR shoes. They will become my go to summer trail shoes. For muddy routes I will stick with my Saucony shoes.

Lightweight & comfortable. Grip on muddy trails good so far. Wide toe box fit is excellent. Only issue is that the internal seam at the front of the toe box appears to be quite prominent and catches my toe nail from time to time. I am 'normally' a size 10, but size 10.5 fitted me the best.

Excellent value for this lightweight trail shoe with good grip and wide fit. I'd recently bought the older inov8 parkclaw which is brill but very narrow to the point of affecting the neutral stability. This shoe is idea for me as someone who likes a thinner tread. New to inov8 but impressed.
