LIGHT WEIGHT, FAST, ACCESSIBLE
MADE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF AN EPIC ALL-ROUNDER, WITH THE OPTION TO UPGRADE TO EVEN BETTER THINGS LATER. THE COMP DOES NOT FEATURE THE SPECIALISSIMA RC COCKPIT BUT IS FULLY COMPATIBLE – SHOULD THE USER WISH TO UPGRADE IN FUTURE.
The new model designed by Bianchi's Reparto Corse enhances climbing prowess with an ultralight weight (6.60 kg) and ensures high-performance on both flat terrain and descents thanks to its aerodynamic tube shapes. Together with the headlining Oltre platform, the new Specialissima completes Bianchi’s high-performance road racing range
Bianchi is proud to introduce the new Specialissima, the latest creation from Bianchi's Reparto Corse. The new bike is positioned alongside the Oltre at the top of the road range, thanks to an innovative approach that paves the way to a new generation of all-rounder bicycles. Here, lightweight and aerodynamics converge on the one goal that truly matters: to make you go faster.
WITHOUT COMPROMISES
In an ever-faster cycling world, Bianchi's Reparto Corse drew inspiration from feedback given by professional athletes to create an ultralight and responsive racing machine. The steepest slopes are where this bike gives you its best.
Performance on hilly routes is also enhanced by downhill efficiency, maneuverability, and the ability to save precious watts on flat stretches. Bianchi has redesigned the Specialissima’s frame and components with a systematic approach to improve aerodynamic efficiency.
THE NUMBERS THAT MATTER
With a total weight of 6.6 kg (for size 55), and a market-leading stiffness-to-weight ratio, Specialissima takes flight on steep roads.
The project's goal was to enhance aerodynamic performance without compromising weight and responsiveness, while providing a competitive edge — even on less severe inclines.
Reparto Corse achieved this by shifting the parameters of slope and power with which the Specialissima offers an advantage over a pure aero bike. This is what we call the tipping point, the level at which one bike becomes more functional than the other.
While the previous Specialissima needed an 8.8 percent slope to offer an advantage to pro athletes, Reparto Corse has lowered this threshold to 6 percent.
This is a proven advantage. Compared to the previous generation, the new Specialissima provides an 8.7-second advantage to an athlete producing 200 watts on a 6 percent climb.
On flat terrain, the advantage for a 200-watt output increases to 31.19 seconds. For the world's strongest climbers — those capable of reaching 30 km/h on a 6 percent climb, the new Specialissima saves a remarkable 3.6 watts of power.
THE LESSON LEARNED FROM THE OLTRE RC
In the quest for improved aerodynamic efficiency, the Reparto Corse Bianchi drew inspiration from the development of the Oltre RC, Bianchi's aero hyperbike. Similar to the Oltre, Specialissima has efficiently integrated its fork into the frame to reduce friction. The fork's design is also inspired by the Oltre.
The D-shaped seat post follows the aerodynamically optimized profile used in other sections of the bike.
DOWN TO THE LAST GRAM
Achieving such a low weight wouldn't have been possible without optimization efforts that affected both the bike as a whole, as well as every single component.
Bianchi Reparto Corse strategically redistributed weights and materials from the rear of the bike to the front by crafting ultra-fine vertical stays and slimmer horizontal stays, in addition to a more generous head tube for improved aerodynamics.
The obsessive pursuit of weight reduction extended to details like the derailleur hanger and the integrated seat tube locking system.
Even the special finish on the Specialissima RC model shaves off an additional 40 grams compared to other finishes.
ONE MODEL, THREE VERSIONS FOR EVERY TYPE OF ATHLETE
With the aim to extend Specialissima's innovative engineering approach to a wider range of athletes, Bianchi has created three different versions. In addition to the top-of-the-line RC model, there are the Specialissima Pro and the Specialissima Comp.
Specialissima RC
Designed for World Tour professionals and the most demanding athletes who seek an ultralight bike that can unleash the maximum performance uphill and guarantee optimal efficiency on other terrains. The lightweight and aerodynamically optimized frame and components ensure excellent performance on both the flat stretches and technical descents that are often encountered before and after climbs.
The Specialissima RC features high-performance Bianchi components, including the Specialissima RC handlebar, Reparto Corse 33R wheels, and RC139 saddle.
The Specialissima RC is available in a single color variant, with minimal paint application to save an additional 40 grams of weight.
Specialissima Pro
Designed for passionate amateurs and for those who demand the utmost from themselves on both climbs and descents, the Specialissima Pro is the ideal bike for riders who simply don’t settle for gran fondos alone.
The Pro is a winning racing machine, featuring the same aerodynamic cockpit as the Specialissima RC, and equipped with Bianchi's CV technology that eliminates vibrations for superior comfort.
The Specialissima Pro is completed with Velomann Palladium wheels and a Velomann Mitora Hyper 139 mm saddle. It is available in two sophisticated matt color variants: Metallic Celeste with carbon black accents and Mystic Grey with carbon black accents.
Specialissima Comp
The Comp version is for those who want to experience the performance of an absolute all-rounder from the start with the option to upgrade components. The Specialissima Comp is fully compatible with the integrated handlebar of the top RC model; it’s the bike for those who want to take their riding to the next level.
The Comp features Velomann Palladium wheels and an Mitora H1 139 mm saddle. It’s available in two glossy finishes: the iconic Celeste and intriguing Graphite.

Ready to ride
Every bike from Start Fitness is fully checked & assembled before despatch and will arrive, almost, ready to ride. Each bike is assembled by one of our CyTech accredited mechanics and then packed into one of our custom boxes.
*This process has a lead time of 5-7 working days.
Unfortunately during peak times this may be slightly delayed. We will however, aim to despatch your bike as quickly as possible. Minimal assembly, with basic tools, is required before you can ride. Assembly tools are not usually included.
Making sure you are home
Once fully checked and boxed, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date when you will be home to take delivery. Our bikes are despatched with a premium delivery service which usually delivers next working day (excludes weekends & bank holidays) for mainland UK orders, it may take slightly longer for some areas, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and outlying Scottish areas. European bike deliveries usually take approximately one week.
Taking Delivery
Any mechanical or cosmetic issues need to be reported to us within one week of the delivery date. If you do not plan on using the bike straight away, we advise that you remove it from the box and check it over ASAP as we cannot be responsible for any reported issues (other than standard warranty issues) later than one week from the date that the bicycle was delivered.
First Service
After a few weeks of riding (we recommend around 6-8 weeks, regardless of how much the bike has been used), a new bike will need a service to make final adjustments and to re-check all nuts and bolts. This is necessary as the bike goes through a ‘bedding in’ phase, after which, final adjustment may be necessary. We recommend that this is carried out by a CyTech qualified mechanic.
It is important to have these checks carried out to prevent any avoidable problems which may not be covered by warranty and to ensure the smooth running of your bicycle. If you’re local to us, we’re able to offer this first service free of charge* at our Newcastle store (NE1 6JE). You’ll just need to call our workshop on 0191 917 3825 to book your service in, and don’t forget to bring your proof of purchase when you drop the bike off with us.
If you’ve had the bike delivered, it will be your responsibility to ensure a first service is carried out at a trusted bike shop local to you, preferably by a Cytech certified mechanic. Start Fitness are unfortunately not able to cover any costs associated with this service if carried out by another store.
*Please note that this complimentary check-over does not include any labour to replace worn parts or to fit new accessories. All bikes should be delivered to us in a clean and serviceable condition, or a £15 cleaning charge will be payable.
Bike Servicing
Bicycles need to be serviced regularly, as a guideline we would advise on at least one full service per year and/or a standard service twice a year. If the bike is used regularly in adverse conditions, more regular servicing may be required.
