WHY BUY FROM US

Details:

Hit the trails and get to grips with the More Mile Cheviot 4 Trail Running Shoes.

With its new and improved sleeker and lower profile design, the Cheviot 4 comes with a thinner, tighter weave mesh in the upper, which gives the shoes an improved durability meaning they’ll hold up on the roughest fells and trails. This tighter weave mesh also provides a water resistant upper whilst maintaining its breathability. This is coupled with the new sewn in tongue further improving the water repellence of the Cheviot 4. Momentarily submerged in puddles and pools, the shoes won’t immediately fill with water! The durable and high quality fabrics used in the upper allow the Cheviot 4 to be flexible and handle the multi-terrains and conditions that the hills and fell routes throw at you, while allowing your feet to breathe at the same time.
The More-tech rubber outsole with a multi-directional tread pattern is made from a softer compound than the previous models of the Cheviot. This is to provide greater traction of hard surfaces such as rocky fell routes and dry or baked trails whilst also improving the impact protection of the shoe. Flex ribs in the mid/outsole give improved forefoot flexibility allowing the foot to contour and mould over rocks and roots on the trail and permit more precision in foot placement. The full length Phylon EVA midsole provides a longer lasting, softer feel to the shoes over those with a standard EVA midsole. This results in an ultra-comfortable, plush ride with amazing impact protection on longer runs and rocky descents.
The Cheviot 4 is ideally suited to orienteers and obstacle racers too. The More™ technology that has been included throughout the Cheviot 4’s provides a comfortable, lightweight and aggressively agile ride, allowing you to move nimbly and quickly over any terrain or obstacles between checkpoints and features!

Somewhat disappointed

Look great and competitive but just lasted 7 months (around 500 km): sole worn down at the heel to the inner sole, sides now busted open. First, the design, more than the quality is wrong: More Mile have gone for a narrow (elegant and light) look, when trail running requires the foot to be kept in place by a thicker, wider sole which surrounds the sides better. On this narrower sole, the torsion effect of the foot was bound to stress the sides, eventually bursting them at the seams (too early in my opinion, compared with a Karrimor shoe that lasted much longer for a similar price). Still, the weave mesh, in itself, coupled with the toe guard protection, was robust enough (as hoped for, one of the reasons I chose this model) to last and not being burst by the big toe.Secondly, the ribs on the heel are too thin and too soft to last ; the grip is really needed on the front and that characteristic works well there and in the middle (although without an insole you will feel these rocks quite - too - intimately). The heel, however, bears the weight and could/should do with more reinforcement. As a designer/manufacturer myself to another, please do take these comments as constructive criticism.Mediocre quality/price ratio overall. Looking forward to Mark2...

Today I have given away my 119 pound pair of fell shoes and committed 100% to More Mile Cheviot 4 Mens Trail Running Shoes. They never give me blisters are forgiving when crossing paths and look cool.

fell running shoes

I have been Fell-running for nearly 48yrs and the majority is over rocky terrain around my local area of Wasdale. It is fair to say first of all that the Cheviot 4 fits my feet like a glove, giving a high level of confidence when moving over wet rocky terrain. I no longer look for speed now but simply endurance and hopefully finish the run blister free and no blackened toes !! I got a couple of 25 mile runs in prior to the virus shutdown, and given the performance for my requirements I will continue to use them. I would say they are one of the best type of " nobblies" I've worn & best by far for the price !!

Bargain

Excellent grip in the mud at a bargain price. My runs generally include a mile or two of road before escaping into the forest and these shoes have more than adequate cushioning for that and have shown little wear so far, unlike the cheap Salomon Speedcross4s I bought direct from China, which may have been a knock-offs. The latter didn't last long at all.I have little protrusions where my achilles joins the bone and the Cheviots cause a bit of pressure there but haven't caused blisters despite tying them tight for fast and gnarly 13 mile fell runs. These are my second pair.

Great Trail Runners

Great trail runners at an excellent price every day. Half size bigger than usual foot size is correct fit.Excellent for trails, muddy parts and off pavement. Has enough cushioning to work well on pavement as well. On trail the grip is excellent and ankle support very good without being overly restrictive for running.
