WHY BUY FROM US

Details:

Hit the trails and get to grips with the More Mile Cheviot 4 Trail Running Shoes.

With its new and improved sleeker and lower profile design, the Cheviot 4 comes with a thinner, tighter weave mesh in the upper, which gives the shoes an improved durability meaning they’ll hold up on the roughest fells and trails. This tighter weave mesh also provides a water resistant upper whilst maintaining its breathability. This is coupled with the new sewn in tongue further improving the water repellence of the Cheviot 4. Momentarily submerged in puddles and pools, the shoes won’t immediately fill with water! The durable and high quality fabrics used in the upper allow the Cheviot 4 to be flexible and handle the multi-terrains and conditions that the hills and fell routes throw at you, while allowing your feet to breathe at the same time.
The More-tech rubber outsole with a multi-directional tread pattern is made from a softer compound than the previous models of the Cheviot. This is to provide greater traction of hard surfaces such as rocky fell routes and dry or baked trails whilst also improving the impact protection of the shoe. Flex ribs in the mid/outsole give improved forefoot flexibility allowing the foot to contour and mould over rocks and roots on the trail and permit more precision in foot placement. The full length Phylon EVA midsole provides a longer lasting, softer feel to the shoes over those with a standard EVA midsole. This results in an ultra-comfortable, plush ride with amazing impact protection on longer runs and rocky descents.
The Cheviot 4 is ideally suited to orienteers and obstacle racers too. The More™ technology that has been included throughout the Cheviot 4’s provides a comfortable, lightweight and aggressively agile ride, allowing you to move nimbly and quickly over any terrain or obstacles between checkpoints and features!

Amazing value, great shoe

I ordered the blue version, was really impressed with the fit, quality, grip and value, so ordered a grey pair too as back up!Im normally a 10 in shoes, 10.5 in hiking boots and the 10.5 is perfect. Excellent service and quick delivery...as you'd expect from a good Geordie firm!

budget but robust

this is my second pair of more mile cheviots - the last pair lasted a number of years as I didn't use them all the time. wore out the upper before the sole...ideal for mixed terrain - where you needs loads of grip in muddy sections, but wouldn't want to be wearing full on XC spikes (either because there's also tarmac/hard trail sections, or you're doing a greater distance than would be advisable in spikes)I've happily done up to 13mile runs in my previous pair, not sure I'd want to do a lot *more* than that, but certainly found them fine for anything up to that sort of distance. And this year's model seems if anything more comfy than the previous pair i had, so perhaps i'll even try longer (only done up to 6miles so far in them as nursing injury so can't do distance at the moment). of course, they're not as comfy as my Brooks GTS, but can cope with conditions those really can't, so a great budget addition to ones running shoe arsenal

Great shoes for very muddy trails

Great shoes for the muddy trails and the new material for the soles makes them fine on roads - but they seem a little narrower than the Cheviot 2 they replaced. Either the new uppers are less giving or have my feet got wider?

Great grip, well worth the money

I've run on the fells for almost 40 years and in all that time I've never worn any shoe which had a better grip than the Cheviot. For straighforward climbing and descending they are perfect. The stability when contouring or on rough terrain is less good than in some more expensive shoes, but for the price you get a pair of shoes ideal for training, especially on wet and muddy surfaces. Mine seem to be wearing pretty well so far after 60 or 70 miles.
