Engineered for Good Times
Low weight, ultimate pace: those were the goals for the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X SLT. Bosch's new lightweight SX drive unit and 400Wh battery save precious grammes but are still capable of serving up 55Nm of torque assistance, so that's a good start. Throw in the ultralight C:68X® carbon chassis, E13 Race carbon cranks, Newmen Advanced SL A.30 carbon wheels and Maxxis Rekon and Rekon Race 2.4in tyres, and things are looking even better. A Fox 34 Factory Grip2 fork and Float Factory shock keep everything planted and stable. And Shimano XTR 1x12 gears with matching XTR hydraulic disc brakes ensure you can go – and slow – at exactly the right pace. Which is, of course, blisteringly fast...
Building an ultralight Bosch-powered full-suspension bike isn't easy. That's why the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X frame makes use of our most advanced C:68X® carbon material, for maximum possible strength and stiffness with the lowest possible weight. The 400Wh battery is incorporated into the down tube, as close to the new, lightweight Bosch SX motor as possible to improve handling, and the frame is PowerMore-ready for a 250Wh range boost with the optional battery pack. Internal cable routing complements the frame's sleek silhouette and there's a lightweight direct mount chain guide. With a UDH gear hanger and angle adjustable headset so you can tweak the handling to suit your riding style, it's got everything you need for fast-paced trail riding.
Bosch SX Battery Integration
Bosch SX technology incorporates a new, lighter and more configurable battery setup. To make the most of the weight saving, we've integrated the new battery fully into the down tube. This means we can position it optimally for the best weight distribution and handling, as well as saving more weight by building a down tube that's precisely the right size to fit, and without the need for an access hatch. And the Power More option means you can add an additional 250Wh battery quickly and simply, for extra range. It's the best of both worlds.
Adjustable Headset Angle
When you're harnessing gravity, the trail is challenging and every second counts, the geometry of your CUBE is a critical component. That's why our adjustable headset allows you to tweak head angle, so you can set your bike up just the way you like it. A little slacker for more stability, or a little steeper for better agility. The choice is yours...
C:68X Carbon
Combining all our expertise from carbon frame building into the ultimate material, C:68X® carbon uses the optimum blend of fibre and nano particle-infused resin. Precision Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing means we can avoid bonded sleeves or inserts, too. It's the new benchmark for light, stiff and strong.
Efficient Trail Control
Our Efficient Trail Control series works in the background so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. A low leverage ratio and linear compression rate are the technical way of saying that these bikes are very sensitive to trail obstacles, whilst remaining insensitive to pedal-induced bob and giving a full range of travel.

Ready to ride
Every bike from Start Fitness is fully checked & assembled before despatch and will arrive, almost, ready to ride. Each bike is assembled by one of our CyTech accredited mechanics and then packed into one of our custom boxes.
*This process has a lead time of 5-7 working days.
Unfortunately during peak times this may be slightly delayed. We will however, aim to despatch your bike as quickly as possible. Minimal assembly, with basic tools, is required before you can ride. Assembly tools are not usually included.
Making sure you are home
Once fully checked and boxed, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date when you will be home to take delivery. Our bikes are despatched with a premium delivery service which usually delivers next working day (excludes weekends & bank holidays) for mainland UK orders, it may take slightly longer for some areas, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and outlying Scottish areas. European bike deliveries usually take approximately one week.
Taking Delivery
Any mechanical or cosmetic issues need to be reported to us within one week of the delivery date. If you do not plan on using the bike straight away, we advise that you remove it from the box and check it over ASAP as we cannot be responsible for any reported issues (other than standard warranty issues) later than one week from the date that the bicycle was delivered.
First Service
After a few weeks of riding (we recommend around 6-8 weeks, regardless of how much the bike has been used), a new bike will need a service to make final adjustments and to re-check all nuts and bolts. This is necessary as the bike goes through a ‘bedding in’ phase, after which, final adjustment may be necessary. We recommend that this is carried out by a CyTech qualified mechanic.
It is important to have these checks carried out to prevent any avoidable problems which may not be covered by warranty and to ensure the smooth running of your bicycle. If you’re local to us, we’re able to offer this first service free of charge* at our Newcastle store (NE1 6JE). You’ll just need to call our workshop on 0191 917 3825 to book your service in, and don’t forget to bring your proof of purchase when you drop the bike off with us.
If you’ve had the bike delivered, it will be your responsibility to ensure a first service is carried out at a trusted bike shop local to you, preferably by a Cytech certified mechanic. Start Fitness are unfortunately not able to cover any costs associated with this service if carried out by another store.
*Please note that this complimentary check-over does not include any labour to replace worn parts or to fit new accessories. All bikes should be delivered to us in a clean and serviceable condition, or a £15 cleaning charge will be payable.
Bike Servicing
Bicycles need to be serviced regularly, as a guideline we would advise on at least one full service per year and/or a standard service twice a year. If the bike is used regularly in adverse conditions, more regular servicing may be required.
