    Faster Everywhere.
SystemSix outstrips opponents, and not just where you’d expect. It sprints, descends and even climbs most hills faster, conserving watts off the front, in the draft, and in the laughing group.

SystemSix is a holistically designed, six-part system wholly dedicated to the pure pursuit of speed. It generates the least aerodynamic drag of any road bike on the market, which means more speed, in more situations, for more riders. It’s faster everywhere.

    Faster up hill
It's faster than lightweight climbing bikes on any climb up to a 6% gradient or more, depending on rider's power to weight. To put that in perspective, most revered HC climbs in the Tour only average 7-8%.

    Faster down hill
Dropping down a 5% grade, a rider on a traditional lightweight bike would need to put out over 300 watts just to keep up with a rider spinning at a recovery effort on a SystemSix.

    Faster in the sprints
In a 200m sprint with riders putting out a 1000-watt effort, the SystemSix rider would be four bike lengths ahead at the line.

    Faster on the flats
At 48km/h (30mph), SystemSix saves you over 50 watts - huge savings considering an average Cat 1 racer's Functional Threshold Power is around 350 watts. And even when drafting, you're still getting up to 60% of that benefit.

Everyday Faster - Even at a mellow group ride pace, SystemSix requires about 10% less power to maintain speed, leaving you with more in the tank when it's time to throw down.

The secret of the SystemSix’s spectacular speed lies in, not surprisingly, a system.

A holistically designed six-point system — Frame, Fork, Seatpost, Bar, Stem, Wheels. — engineered to work together to defeat the giant of aerodynamic drag.

    Frame & fork
To minimize drag, the frame and fork feature highly truncated airfoil shapes, engineered to maintain flow attachment across important yaw angles. Distinct asymmetry throughout provides instant response to pedaling and braking loads.

    64 KNØT Wheels
Conceived as the first component of the SystemSix project, the HollowGram 64 KNØT is one of the absolute fastest wheelsets on the planet. Its unique design combines the speed benefits of an ultra-low drag profile with the real-world rideability benefits of larger volume tires.

Incorporating some ideas pioneered by our friends at HED, the disc-specific design is significantly wider than other road wheels. That extra width both makes tires effectively bigger than their marked size for better ride quality (a 23c tire measures a full 26mm on our wheel), and helps air flowing over the tire reattach cleanly to the rim, maximizing flow attachment and minimizing drag. The rim shape is optimized for 26mm (23c) tires, but the 64 KNØT design exhibits minimal changes in drag with even larger tires, giving riders the option to go bigger for comfort, grip and reduced rolling resistance without paying an aero penalty. It’s pure speed, without compromise.

The stem is interchangeable and comes in a variety of lengths and rises. It routes the brake and Di2 lines cleanly into the headtube via a channel under a mechanic-friendly cover and features matching gated spacers so you can adjust the stack height without disconnecting cables. Fast meets easy.

    KNØT Seatpost
An often overlooked, but vital part of the system. The truncated airfoil shape of the HollowGram KNØT seatpost is designed specifically to reduce drag in the high-speed airflow that is accelerated between the rider’s legs.

    Less drag, more speed.

    Ready to ride

Every bike from Start Fitness is fully checked & assembled before despatch and will arrive, almost, ready to ride. Each bike is assembled by one of our CyTech accredited mechanics and then packed into one of our custom boxes.
This process has a lead time of 7-10 working days. Unfortunately during peak times this may be slightly delayed. We will however, aim to despatch your bike as quickly as possible. Minimal assembly, with basic tools, is required before you can ride. Assembly tools are not usually included. Please note: Some bikes are not supplied with pedals. Manufacturers don’t know if you want flat or clipless pedals - rather than send the bike with the wrong type, they leave the choice for you to make.

    Making sure you are home

Once fully checked and boxed, we will contact you to book a delivery date. Our bikes are despatched on a next working day service (excludes weekends & bank holidays) for UK mainland orders, or a two day service to Northern Ireland and outlying Scottish areas. European bike deliveries usually take approximately one week.

    Taking Delivery

Any mechanical or cosmetic issues need to be reported to us within one week of the delivery date. If you do not plan on using the bike straight away, we advise that you remove it from the box and check it over ASAP as we cannot be responsible for any reported issues (other than standard warranty issues) later than one week from the date that the bicycle was delivered.

    First Service

After a few weeks of riding (we recommend around 6-8 weeks, regardless of how much the bike has been used), a new bike will need a service to make final adjustments and to re-check all nuts and bolts. This is necessary as the bike goes through a ‘bedding in’ phase, after which, final adjustment may be necessary. We recommend that this is carried out by a CyTech qualified mechanic.

It is important to have these checks carried out to prevent any avoidable problems which may not be covered by warranty and to ensure the smooth running of your bicycle. If you’re local to us, we’re able to offer this first service free of charge* at our Newcastle store (NE1 6JE). You’ll just need to call our workshop on 0191 917 3825 to book your service in, and don’t forget to bring your proof of purchase when you drop the bike off with us.

If you’ve had the bike delivered, it will be your responsibility to ensure a first service is carried out at a trusted bike shop local to you, preferably by a Cytech certified mechanic. Start Fitness are unfortunately not able to cover any costs associated with this service if carried out by another store.

*Please note that this complimentary check-over does not include any labour to replace worn parts or to fit new accessories. All bikes should be delivered to us in a clean and serviceable condition, or a £15 cleaning charge will be payable.

    Bike Servicing

Bicycles need to be serviced regularly, as a guideline we would advise on at least one full service per year and/or a standard service twice a year. If the bike is used regularly in adverse conditions, more regular servicing may be required.
